Ukraine maintains control of the bulk of its airspace. The British defence ministry stated Wednesday that Ukraine still controls the airspace. It also said that Russia has not succeeded in suppressing its air defences or destroying its air force.

It stated on Twitter that Russia has limited air access to Ukraine’s north and west, which limits offensive actions to deep strike with stand-off weaponry.

The ministry stated that Russian air activity was primarily directed at the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine, supporting Russian ground forces.
